Apple iPad Announced!
Apple have announce their new iPad Tablet PC and it’s due out in March (2010).
Apple Founder Steve Jobs described the iPad as being something between its iPhone and MacBook(to be expected really as it is a tablet PC!).
Effectively the device is a 10″ iPod touch/iphone. The iPad’s large screen utilises the IPS LCD display and has full multitouch capability providing full app functionality but on a larger screen.
What does this mean for us graphic designers? Well we can use the device to show off our Indesign and Photoshop work on a much larger screen (it helps that the device is only half an inch thick) and I’m sure there will be lots of apps to increase our creativity and productivity.
The iPad is held vertically (like a digital pad of paper) and will take over the tasks of email, calendar, notes, and photos freeing up your deskop pc (or laptop) for creating those stunning Photoshop pieces or well laid out Indesign documents.
The real question is…When will Adobe release the creative suite for this sexy little beast!
